One 2½ hour session
(Previously offered in June 2016)

Fee:

$25 for one seminar. Price is per adult. Grandkids are free.Register here.

Prerequisites:

This class is meant to be an inter-generational experience. We have pencils, but if you have some, you may bring them. Bring several photos on a flash drive. No experience necessary, just a desire to bond, doing something you both enjoy.

Description:

This is a beginning class in creativity and coloring. Simple coloring is not what it seems. You can blend, watercolor, and "paint" with pencils. It is a project that takes you away from tech screens for a few hours. Stress free is an adjective that can be best described doing this. Don't worry if you feel you don't have a creative bone in your body. You do, trust me. We will start with the basic techniques, and follow up using our own photo turned into a coloring page. You will be amazed at the interest when you use one of your own photos.

Goals:

To learn colored pencil techniques

  • learn the basics
  • use water and oil for blenders
  • find resources for coloring pages
  • convert a photo into a coloring page
  • expand our knowledge of color theory
  • bond with your grandchildren
  • coyote lion
