This is hands-on type class. For this class, we recommend you own and know how to use Corel Paint Shop Pro, ON1 or Adobe Photoshop Elements. Bring an apron for the "messing" portion.
Textures are considered the frosting on the cake or the final layer in a fine art photo. Making them digitally or creating them by hand is fun and makes your photos a step above the ordinary. We will spend the class in both a hands-on art class with a canvas and paper as well as digitally making them in a program like Topaz Plug-Ins.
Textures and filters for phone/mobile photos as well as our digital photos have become the new norm for finishing touches. We teach this in Corel Paint Shop Pro, ON1 RAW as well as Adobe Photoshop Elements. Any photo can be blurred, or add texture and 3D depth, then used creatively. In the first half of the class, we will use watercolor canvas, paint abstract designs and then take a photo of it to use digitally. In the second half of the class, we will take photos, blur, move, motion and create textures from existing photographs. Be creative for a day! It's fun.
Learn how to make your own textures to add pop and fine art to your photos.
