Description:

One of the great things about digital photography is the creativity that you can engage in, once you have your image on your computer and use post-processing software. All kinds of effects can be achieved to make your shots look any number of ways.

But what about in-camera techniques for more creative and artistic shots? Creative photography is a difficult term to pin down. Some would say that all photography is creative in some way. Well, I think creative photography is when you photograph something in a way that most people would not normally see.

Thinking out of the box to create some unique images in your camera can be fun and rewarding. In this field trip workshop, we'll explore some fun ways to expand your creativity and get beyond ho-hum, everyday images. We'll try motion blur, creative use of perspective, photographing through clear objects, photographing from unique angles, and lots of other fun ways to shoot. To fully appreciate this workshop, you need to understand your cameras shooting modes (Manual, Aperture, and Shutter), how to adjust your aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and be willing to try something new and different.
