This is a hands-on type of class. It is for students who are seeking a better understanding of Google's online Gmail, Calendar and Docs services, as well as how they connect with each other via the web.
Students should have a basic level of understanding of Web Browsing and using multiple windows (tabs) in a browser. Basic Smartphone operation knowledge is a plus, but not a necessity.
Google's online services are all about simplifying the way you manage day-to-day life. Whether using Gmail for fast access to email wherever you are, Calendar to plan your day, or Docs for rapid document creation, Google has you covered. In this class we will learn how to use Google's online apps, understand how they connect to each other, and learn how you can access them on the go. A question and answer period will be available at the end of the class as well.
- To learn how to manage and use Email, Calendar and Documents with Google's online applications
- To learn how those applications connect to each other using the internet
- To gain a basic understanding of how Google's services are used on smartphones and mobile devices
