Schedule:

Wednesday, January 18, 2017
1:00 - 3:30 pm

Fee:

$25. Register here.

Prerequisites:

This is a "hands-on" class with use of photo editing software. Bring a couple of photos that you'd like to see in large print form.

Description:

We all take a lot of photos that we share digitally on Facebook, Instagram, or emailing to friends and family. It's a fun way to share moments and memories. But sometimes you get that special image that needs to be viewed in a bigger format and hanging on your wall. There's nothing quite like holding an 11x14 or 13x19 print of a photo you're proud of, then framing it and hanging it a prominent place to be viewed every day. Printing some of your better photos will make you a better photographer, a better editor, and brings your photos to life forever. Best of all it's very satisfying. When you see your picture printed on nice paper hanging on the wall, it will make you smile.

In this class, we'll discuss and practice a printing workflow that will get you creating great prints from your photos. We'll discuss color management and calibration, different kinds of papers and inks, and tweaks to the editing post-process for images you intend to print. You will need to bring a couple of photos that you'd like to see in large print form. We will print photos on a quality printer.
